Currently, Francine Humbert-Droz focuses on the creation of bows for stringed instruments based on reference models listed in museums or private collections. All styles and all eras are represented, from the Renaissance to the Modern period: bows for violin, viola, cello or bass, but also rebec, viola da gamba, and many others.
She regularly exhibits her work in music festivals, forums and courses.
She also offers lectures, both in Switzerland and abroad, on the history of bow making and the various stages of manufacture.
The best way to discover the bows of Francine Humbert-Droz is to see them, or better still, to try them freely in her studio in Lausanne, where a beautiful and wide selection of bows awaits you. It is also possible to rent bows for an entire orchestra.
